Have you ever wanted to recycle some glass into a memento or a keepsake? I will help you translate your glass into a beautiful piece of jewelry. Currently, we are offering bezeled glass jewelry in 925 sterling silver or fine silver—earring studs or dangle earrings, necklace pendant, bracelet, or ring. Shapes include circle, rectangle and square. Glass size ranges between 5mm and 1.5 cm. Custom beadmaking will be available Fall 2015. For more elaborate custom orders, please describe idea in as much detail as possible.
Step 1: Making your Inquiry
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org briefly describing the request—type of glass to be transformed (what kind of bottle or scrap), type of jewelry to be made (earrings, necklace, ring), type of metal (plated silver, sterling silver, gold fill), timeline and budget.
Step 2: Sending in Your Glass
Decide on the item you want to transform. It can be in perfect shape, chipped or cracked in large pieces. We can use bottles and scraps up to ¼”thickness. The item must be packaged to arrive in the best shape possible.
Step 3: Creating Your Piece
Once we receive your glass, we will give you 3 options on what can be created, the timeline and the associated costs. Half of the estimated cost is due at this step.
Step 4: Completion and Delivery
Based on your choice of design, we begin the upcycling process of melting the glass. Please note that metalsmithing adds 3-6 weeks to the process. Once the piece is completed a photo will be emailed for final approval.
